Sarfoa is a PwC-trained Chartered Certified Accountant with over fourteen years of experience in the Finance Profession, nine of which has been gained from the Oil and Gas Industry in Ghana. She has worked in diverse roles in the accountancy profession and has thus gained extensive experience in general oil and gas accounting, hydrocarbons accounting, Joint Venture accounting, external audit and financial reporting and control.
Her professional expertise and exposure spans across the Oil and Gas (both International Oil and Gas Companies and a National Oil and Gas Company), Financial Services, Mining and Telecommunication sectors in the United Kingdom, Ghana, Benin, Nigeria and Zambia.
She has trained key personnel from the Ghana Revenue Authority in Oil and Gas Accounting and Taxation and has also attended several Oil and Gas Courses including Introduction to Oil and Gas Industry, Exploration and Production Accounting levels 1-3 and Introduction to Cost Engineering in the Oil and Gas Industry courses.
She is a proven leader with honed decision-making skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong facilitation skills.
She holds a Bsc Administration (Accounting) Honors and an EMBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Ghana. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK; the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), Zambia; the Chartered Institute of Accountancy (ICA), Ghana and also holds a certificate in International Treasury Management from the Association of Certified Corporate Treasurers (ACT), UK.
